Is that Nick Fury supposed to be based off the Ultimate universe/recent Nick Fury? Cuz if so, that’s some maaaaaaaaaaaaaad whitewashing going on hurr.
You make a really good point. I had to go back and stare at this for a good long while. Then, for clarity’s sake, I opened up my paint program and started taking color swatches from each drawing’s face:
With such a weird color palette, it’s hard to tell what shades are where (and the intensity) but when you line them all up, there is a very visible difference. Is Nick Fury lighter than he is in the movies? Definitely. But he is, without a doubt, colored much darker than any of the other characters (who also have different hues than their movie selves).
I don’t know if this would be considered whitewashing? My personal opinion is that as long as there is a noticeable difference between white character color palette and PoC color palette, the artist made a genuine effort. But again, that’s just my thought.

Then your uncle Barney decided to fight back.
